Ever the savvy marketeer, Swift released a standard 13-track edition of the LP and followed with a special “3am Edition” featuring 7 additional tracks (making 20 songs in total) on streaming platforms.

Lucy Harbron of Gigwise called Midnights Swift’s strongest reinvention and “darkest” work yet, praising its experimentation, introspection, and sonic evolution. American Songwriter critic Alex Hopper described the album as a “rich listening experience” and “1989’s grungier sister”.”
“Elise Ryan of Associated Press called the album a product of Swift’s maturity and artistic evolution, commending her “sharpened” vocals and experiment with a “dark, electric” soundscape. Billboard’s Jason Lipshutz called it “a focused, legacy-extending” album, propelled by “razor-sharp” lyricism and “amorphous” compositions. Paste critic Ellen Johnson said Midnights has Swift’s “sleekest pop tunes yet”—”something much more muted, nuanced, calculated, cunning and pulsing” than mainstream pop music. Artist like T. Swift take the fun out of watching artist have ORGANIC success. Instead of the MUSIC selling the project, every album will be successful because of the NAME/Stans alone.
T. Swift should have fallen off long time ago. The “i can do know wrong” should not apply to weak entertainers like Drake and T Swift, whom make basic boring music with 1 good song every 4 years.
